Editor's review

An appearance on MF Doom's essential "Operation: Doomsday" earned this New York rapper a spot in the underground hip-hop canon, and his recent solo debut finds him as brazen and compelling on his own. Against production that strips down the Doom sound, Megalon's nonstop, breathless rhymes try to compress decades into minutes.

Biography

Megalon aka Tommy Gun is no rookie to underground hip hop. He was first heard on MF Doom's "Greenbacks" and then later on MF Doom's now classic "Operation: Doomsday". Megalon also released a single on Bobbito Garcia's Fondle Em Records. The single "One In A Million b/w Peace to the Homeless" did extremely well for his debut release on vinyl, with production provided by Metal Fingers and X-Ray.

Megalon went on to appear on MF GRIMM's classic debut "The Downfall of Ibliys: A Ghetto Opera". He ripped it on tracks "Foolish" (a cut featuring MF Grimm and MF Doom over Metal Fingers production) and a solo track titled "Rain Blood".

Having just released his solo debut album "A Penny For Your Thoughts", Megalon proves himself as a SOLO artist, maintaining high energy throughout the entire album. Megalon is currently incarcerated, please show your support by writing to him at the following address:
