Solid rhythms and smooth licks. Mellow Nexus is an acoustic duo that has firm belief in the minimalistic approach to sound. Retaining a live sound, all tracks recorded to date have been first take and barely touched in the studio. This approach has given Mellow Nexus the edge on many other acoustic acts by not loosing 'the feel' during recording. Ben Hutchings lays up solid precussive grooves for his complimenting vocal work and leaves just the right amount of space for the masterfull lead guitar work of Steve Locke. The two playing personalities of these two very individual guitarists compliment each other throughout their music.
