At a young age Melodic began crafting his musical skills spinning from a 25 cent jukebox at his local Jamaican bar. Moving to New York at the age of 21, melodic quickly gained recognition in the industry by consistently adding his signature spice to the reggae and hip hop music scene. Whether opening up for recognized reggae and hip hop artists such as Mos Def, Dead Prez, Tupac, Scarface, Buju Baton, Tiger, Mad Professor, his onstage energy always impressed his peers as well as the crowd. On the reggae tip Melodic?s original sound, fusing old school reggae and hip hop, was elementary in breaking down the barriers between reggae and rap, long before Sean Paul became the genre?s poster child.
