We know that hard rock and metal come from the blues, but sometimes it's easy to lose the connection. Alswich, UK outfit Metta's brand of funk metal seems to occur right at the transition point as classic blues licks dance dangerously close to a murky bassline. When the two touch, there's a shower of sparks, and metal is born.
