Editor's review

Try as he might to drive away his loyal devotees, MF Doom is stuck--he's just got the Midas touch. Doom refers to himself as "a cad, a bounder, and a no-goodnik," and his latest material is rude indeed, a blend of furious scratching, thumping beats, and Ornette Coleman-style scale play. It's also mind-blowingly fresh and strangely listenable.

Biography

Name: DOOM

Ht: 6' 0" Wt: 225

Origin: New York/Europe

Agenda: Microphone Domination

MF DOOM may be a cad, a bounder, and a no-goodnik, but he's got a personal code of honor. If he gives his word, he never breaks it. Such nobility found in the person of one so blackhearted is fascinating. DOOM has style, sophistication. He's no simple world-beater. He has an appreciation of the finer things in life. Culture. Art. Music. He possesses a keenly-honed aesthetic.

He's forced to hide his misshapen face from the world behind an iron mask. Although some have speculated that, were you to peel away that cold metal an take a gander at the features underneath, you'd see only the slightest scar marring an otherwise handsome visage -but that tiny imperfection is all it took to drive DOOM to a life of villainy.
