Just when you want to call it slick New Age, a classical melody appears, then a jazzily phrased chord, followed by a subtle Latin beat. This contemporary pianist puts all of his Juilliard-honed repertoire to use in lush compositions that are as endlessly smart as they are eminently listenable.
Critic Kathy Parsons has called Michael Dulin (Doo'lin) "one of the most versatile musicians I have ever known." Though classically trained at the famed Juilliard School in New York, Dulin maintains a multi-faceted career as a performer, producer/arranger, and creator of original music for radio, television, film and theatre. He also continues to enjoy popularity as a session musician, and he recently completed a six-month tour with the legendary Temptations.
Dulin has performed as a solo pianist throughout the U.S., including an appearance at New York?s Carnegie Hall. His international performances include Warsaw, Poland, and performances on Swedish National Television. Dulin is a full-time musician, head of Equity Digital, his own recording label, and is creative director and managing partner of PSI, a digital recording facility in Birmingham, Alabama.
"The One I Waited For", Michael's debut original music CD, was New Age Reporter's #1 CD for three nths in a row. Atmospheres, his follow-up CD also led the charts as a #1 pick. Atmospheres was awarded the Lifestyles Music Award, as the best piano solo CD of 2004.
Dulin's music has been featured on Hearts of Space, and is heard on over 250 radio stations worldwide, plus satellite services and internet radio. The song "Bedtime for Little John" is the featured music on the game "The Way Home" on www.orisinal.com.
