Jersey's own Countrified Roots Rockers "Michael Patrick & The Suburban Hillbillies" are on a mission to bring country rock music back to the state and offer fans a place to call home at their local area shows. Carefully blending elements of traditional country, 50's style rockabilly, folk & roots rock with a "jam-band rockin' edge," this group has devised a style that appeals to folks of all ages. Members of the group have opened for or appeared with the following notable national acts: Marshall Tucker Band, Hot Tuna, Jefferson Starship, Spin Doctors, Tom Constanten (Grateful Dead) and Moot Davis (featuring Pete Anderson of Dwight Yoakam Band). Their music influences are varied and diverse but include the likes of: Dwight Yoakam, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Johnny Cash, Lyle Lovett, John Prine & Jimmy Buffett. Although his home state of New Jersey doesn't offer much in the way of country music these days (Heck, there's not even a radio station and maybe a few bars), Michael Patrick takes great pride in filling that void and offers fans a place to call home at his local performances. Currently receiving "selective airplay" around the world (as far as Belgium, Spain & Alaska), Michael looks forward to introducing and delivering his brand of "Country Fried, Folk Flavored Roots Rock & Roll" to both new and old fans alike.
