Mike Harvat's homegrown indie rock is most impressive in how it's presented. "How Human I Am (The Real Thing)" is a dry, sheenless gem that proves a catchy song, played with feeling, is all that's really necessary. His precise and economical mid-fi approach adds intimacy to the recording and is artful in itself.
Biography
Mike Harvat is a singer / songwriter from Omaha, Nebraska. Writing and recording songs since he was in high school, Mike's abilities as a songwriter and vocalist have been incubating for years. With a knack for melody and a distinct voice, Mike is unafraid to belt out his highest highs over a lone acoustic guitar.
Rarely is a song written by Mike which isn't intended to have an emotional effect on the listener. Pulling inspiration from life experiences and his heart for others, Mike hopes to positively affect everyone and anyone who hears his music.
