MINDLAG PROJECT

Mindlag Project was born in 1999 in Vitrolles in the south of France near Marseille. The band changes its line-up several times, and find the current one in 2001.

In 2000, the band take part of the Collectif Hybride, which first aim is to organize concerts in order to promote the french metal scene. So the band play at the popular Hybride Fest, with famous french bands.

In 2002, Mindlag Project went at All Production studio with Christian Carvin (Disturb, Fat society, The More I See, Eths...) in order to record its first MCD called Karybda (the first part of a bilogy called karybda & Skylla that deals with a concept mixing Greek mythology and serial killing). This record has been released in 2002 through Overcome Records.

The band starts to build a name in its country, and play a lot of concerts with bands like Eyeless, Eths, Disturb, Dagoba, Silmarils, Uncommonmenfrommars, etc. and it wins the musical contest Class’Rock in 2003, which is relatively famous in France.

In August 2004, the band get in studio to record its second MCD called Skylla, again with Christian Carvin and sign on the label Customcore Records after leaving Hybride. This record is distributed trough Overcome Records in France and Great White North Records in Canada.
