Biography

Mind Trips is a Bulgarian chill-out band formed in 2001. The band was initially put together by Alexander (guitars), Bourian (bass) and Iasmin (keyboards). They started working in the field of house music and drum and bass. In 2001 Alexandra (vocals) joined Mind Trips. The Band worked with her until 2003, recording several tracks. Then Mind Trips took a little break for a year only to get back to work again in 2004. In 2005 Mind Trips came across Rosena and after recording one song with her decided to make more, until the first album of the band was completed. The album is entitled Sin and includes 8 songs with Rosena's vocals, and 2 instrumentals. The overall style of the album is chill-out combined with house, drum and bass, trip hop and a pinch of jazz. Sin is a combination of electronic music styles with a lot of live played guitars, basses, keyboards and vocals. Additional color to the recorded songs is added by Vlado's live trumpet playing. He joined the project for the first track recorded with Rosena and stayed on, until the last one on the album. Two violin players feature in this album as well: Veneta and Radi from Strrings. In 2006 Mind Trips came up with a remake of Dessy?s song, Give You, for the compilation for Denyl, called Revolution. At the beginning of 2007 to the project join two new members: Pancho from the band Isihia on the percussions and Metin on the drums. Mind Trips started to play at the one of the most famous house clubs at Sofia ? Yalta Club. Also at 2007 the band recorded new song called Trippin?. The song wins two awards on the one of the prestige?s competitions in Bulgaria organized by the Bulgarian National Radio ? ?Golden Spring 2007?.
