Biography

The project was formed during 2004 by 2 individuals with the sole intention to create a side music project into the field of electronics. This innovation was baptized under the name of Division Alpha. After some attempts and compositions, both individuals parted ways and Division Alpha was put to rest.

After a long break, J[k], the only remained member decided to elaborate and enhance the very first compositions. During that period, J[k] showed an intense maturity in song writing, and this was reflected on the 1st promo called In Sensations Adorned (previously released under the Ethereal J moniker). Shortly after, the name was changed to MJ.5, where some fellows usually interpret it as Majestic 5. Later on, a US based net label decided to host the project for future works and collaboration. Results were quite scarce and both label and MJ.5 parted ways after several months due to lack of professionalism.

Currently MJ.5 is not 100% active since the person behind is also involved in other projects. However, the plans for the forthcoming works are definitely aimed to have a blend of EBM and perhaps Alternative Industrial…however, nothing is sure yet...

The concept of MJ.5 stands only for fine ears, and for those who like both dark and celestial tunes.
