Editor's review

From Cebu Island, Philippines, Dice and K9 are ready to tear up the floor with their blazing, safari-like mid-tempo beats and inventive lyrical flow. They'll take the listener on a head trip to an exotic tropical destination.

Biography

Dice and K9 are part of the 3-member "back to basics" Hip Hop group known as the Anthill Mobb and have been in the local music circle for almost 10 years. Pain decided to stay low because of work reasons last year prompting the duo to continue and experiment with new beats that are more than you would expect from the Anthill Mobb; a 360 degree turn, Dice and K9 dont do Hip Hop. They do Music. That is what clearly stated by the duo through their masterful skill with their sampling machines.

Dice and K9s first full-length, MOBB MUSIC is a portfolio of beat manifestos that may interest any music artists style whether its rock, hip-hop, pop and electronic. Their lyrics are about personal interests and fun not conforming to the typical and never glamorous. Their progressive approach addresses this misconception through their collaboration such as Urbandub and Powerspoonz. The teams tightly programmed drum beats permit a host of talented artists (i.e. Trapp, Hi-C, Mutley, etc.) to reflect on the soulful sensuality of R&B providing a titillating soundscape to convey commonsensical rhymes.

Dice and K9, like many artists striving for originality, is obviously disgusted with the overproduction of party hits, their sound conscious of musical influence instead of drugs and money that is prevalent in Rap.
