Alternating quirky, affecting indie pop with can't-miss retro New York rock, this Norwegian crew spends as much time aping Elliott Smith as purported similar artists the Strokes and Interpol. In either iteration, Moorhead purveys sweet pop-rock.
Moorehead was created in Trondheim, Norway 2004. The songs were recorded in our own studio, that is: a few quite nice microfones, a bad ass computer, a couple of beers and loads of cigarettes in a pretty messed up room in a building soon to be demolished for the purpose of an express highway which we believe some way or another probably will be more hated by the neighbours than we ever were. It's really a bit Arthur Dentish!
