More Than Normal

Formed in the year 2000, More than normal are a staggering high energy UK punk rock band, that will get even the most jaded of heads nodding, the bands sound is a fusion of the very best U.S Punk (Rancid, Blink, Greenday?) combined with a dash of U.K Punk Rock (Clash, Buzzcocks, UK-Subs?) hailed as the best thing to come out of Dover since cheap beer ?n? fags, More Than Normal have proved themselves more efficient than the millennium bug and longer lasting than the millennium dome. After building up a massive local following in their first year More Than Normal decided that the rest of the country could do with a dose of U.K Punk Rock so they booked a modest tour, packed their carrier bags and took off.? Since then, there?s been no stopping them.? With 4 tours under their belt, More Than Normal have played some of the most prestigious venues in the country (The Camden Underworld, The Tonbridge Wells Forum, The Cavern Club in Liverpool?), with some of the biggest bands the scene has to offer (Spunge, Farse, The Real McKenzie?s, The Meteors, The Warriors, The Peacock? To name but a few) and have received praise from such luminaries as Roddy Radiation.? Most recently More Than Normal played their biggest headlining show to over 600 people at their local concert hall (The Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone) outselling mainstream bands such as ?Electric 6?, and helped put together their current 85 date tour with ?Moonska? favourites ?Fandangle?.
