I have been playing the piano and organ for most of my life but never have taken any music lessons. I have an acute memory for music and harmony with the ability to play a piece for the first time after listening to it depending upon it's complexity. I began playing the pipe organ as soon as my feet were able to reach the pedals. Many years later I was a church organist for a time until a major heart attack forced me to quit but resumed as an alternate for several churches after recovery. I do play music other than religious music and have played dinner music for a prestigious inn in Connecticut and in New York for a considerable time. I have played for National Honor Society and Awards Assembly functions at a high school in Connecticut for twenty three years having played a "Grand March" that I composed especially for one of the occasions. I have played and recorded, using my own arrangements, many favorite old hymns on my digital piano which has an "A" drive to which I can record my song or hymn using up to 16 different voices if I need to adding each voice or instrument one track at a time so that all tracks of the recorded song is played back in unison and recorded onto a 1.44MB disk. Most all of the 1.44MB disks that contained hymns were recorded onto CDs and made into albums. A final note -- all of the instruments, including any tympani, you hear were added one track at a time. In other words I accompanied myself using different instruments. Most of the hymns are played in the correct key while some are played in a higher key for more brilliance. Many are played at a slower tempo just for listening. I do hope that all those who either listen to or download these hymns will find some comfort in listening to them. Those many people around the world who are sick, lonely, and are suffering from some tragedy in their lives will find solace in them. Every hymn is a sermon.
