Biography

Started by one acoustic guitar genius and one amateur singer/songwriter, Mute was once a project created for no purpose but to pass time and enhance creativity. Ever since its commencement in the summer of '03 the two have been writing songs about everything, ranging from british men to jealousy and rage. Recently Mute has received an onslaught of inspiration and is now building to greater musical heights, as well as gaining more band members. Mute is aiming for the pros, and nothing will stop them. Despite their current lack of an enormous sound, their acoustic songs are easily convertible to the formats they are meant for - whether that format be hard rock, reggae, blues, pop, or just original-flavored rock n' roll.

Mute more or less is a group of individually talented musicians playing each others' music. Because the members live in different parts of the U.S., each has been acting as a solo performer in their current area under the same name. This enables Mute to gain a following in more than one place at the same time, thus giving a much larger advantage over those artists who have to rely on building a fanbase one community at a time. Even though the "Muticians" (the members of the band) can certainly hold a crowd on their own, when they get together the sound is more than phenomenal.
