Editor's review

New Sense are as much of a dance act as Bloc Party or TV on the Radio, but that's what the Milwaukee band is about. These tracks are brimming with memorable melodies, and infused with muddled guitar, New Sense encapsulate late '90s rock with a side of Joy Division.

Biography

Milwaukee natives New Sense are ready to spread their wings and sting with their infectious Midwestern charm.  The band evolved from a recording session originally intended for their previous outfit, Camden.  With the departure of their guitarist, the remaining band members were forced to take an alternative route to writing and producing music.  Their self-titled debut EP, recorded by guitarist Kristian Riley, exhibited a band ready to burst.  Along with Kristian, DJ Brooks (former Citizen King), Ryan Weber, William Seidel (former Camden, current Decibully) and Nolan Treolo (Former Paris,Texas) make up this catchy dance-pop quintet.  Past members Malcolm Michelles and Franz Bucholz still contribute to the group's efforts.

Full of tight grooves and laden with William Seidel's commanding croon, their high-energy live set yields distinct pleasure and and a fair amount of sweat.  The band's highly anticipated upcoming release, Flowers Before Hours, accurately captures their depth of song-writing talent and style.  The EP features 5 brand new tracks from their recording sessions at Milwaukee's Bionic Studios and the band is anxious to release the rest of their material on their debut full length record due out in  2006.  What you will hear is a band writing as a cohesive unit with a firm focus and an intense dedication to their sound.
