Pacifying piano strokes evoke visions of candle-lit dinners, the calm water of a lake, or a warm dawn morning. The Canadian uses subtle ambient string sections as a backdrop for his keyboard craftsman’s work. Kennith M. Nichol makes nice meditative music--a perfect listen for getting a deep-tissue massage.
Kennith Nichol b.1986:
Kennith is a pianist/composer living in Victoria, BC Canada.
He started witting music around 15 years old; however, his interest in music was apparent since he was 2 years old. He sat playing notes on his mother's organ. His parents tried to enroll him in piano lessons, but he did not take interest to them. At age 12 Kennith began to take interest in piano once more. Through self-study and hours of practicing he managed to work his way to a RCM grade 8 level.
Kennith was an avid gamer and was inspired to composition by the music of Nobuo Uematsu who is the composer for SquareEnix. Further inspirations followed with Gustav Holst, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and now the classical masters.
As of 2006 Kennith has started post-secondary studies in music at the Victoria Conservatory of music. Under the instruction of Winifred Scott Wood, Robert Holliston, Stephen Brown, and Crystal Wiksyk.
