At the age of four I started singing all the time, and my father started making me sing in front of everyone; family, friends, and people we met in public.? I had to remember the song "Blue Moon," and I had to sing ot correctly but with my own add lib sounds.? When I turned fourteen, my father took me to the VFW every Friday, so I could learn different songs and? so I could learn how to entertain.? My father, mother, and three sisters encouraged and supported me through the years.? In addition to the family support, I sung in choirs, listened to different genres of music, and?imitate their singing.? With a lot of practice I taught myself to sing country, pop, jazz, blues, and opera, etc.??
My Baby" is about a boy I met when I was visiting friends in California.? We were planning to move there, so he became my boyfriend.? However, we moved back to Texas after three months, and I knew I would never see him again.
"Longing For You" was written on the way back from California, and while I was back in Texas thinking about this boy and how my heart yearned to see him again, and that I will always love him.
When you see a person, but that person does not know you exist, so you want the one you can't have.? That is how the song "Maybe I'll Show You Something" came to mind.? After getting over the California?guy, another boy in Texas caught my eye, but he acted as though I didn't?exist.? Even when I talked to him he did not seem interested.? Of course, we finaly made the move to California, and that's when he admitted to liking me. Too late.
I now attend school in Fresno, California.? I have no boyfriend because I want to concentrate on my music and school work.?
