Biography
NIKOLI (pronounced "nikoleye") are an all-singing all-dancing
powerhouse from the four corners of Leeds.
Nikoli started life in 2001
as a solo recording project of singer/guitarist Tim Hann. In mid 2003 it morphed into a band with the coming together of James Brunger on drums/vocals and later Simon Miller on keys/synths.
Their 1st collaborative release was an EP in late 2003, followed by a double A-side single in 2004 on the band’s own label ‘East Park Records’. Most recently; a sold out 3-track EP released in September of 2005. Likened to a mixture of The Beach Boys, Doves, Spiritualized and The Smiths they have received nationwide radio airplay and rave reviews.
The band are currently at their studio writing and recording tracks for a new EP to be released in the Spring ‘06.
