Editor's review

It shouldn't be exceptional or even notable for an emo band to feature a female singer, but in this male-dominated genre, it is. Luckily, that's not all Nobody's Star has going for them. They have the musical ability to back up her powerful voice.

Biography

SO CAL TOUR & ALBUM RELEASE AUGUST 2004!
PRE-ORDER "A PROMISE" @ www.NobodysStar.com

Hidden away in Humboldt County, California, Nobody’s Star is a powerful combination of hard-hitting modern rock and beautiful female vocal talent. Everyone can relate to the emotion in their delicate song stylings.

Nobody’s Star was formed nearly four years ago, and has since been through numerous line-up changes, but the original feel of the band has stayed nearly the same throughout the years. The songs, written mostly by guitarist John Mrotzek, reflect upon life, change, anger and love. Co-writer and lead singer Maegan Bates focuses her passionate voice on every word, bringing the lyrics to life.

Humboldt County is located about 300 miles north of the San Francisco bay area, so it is difficult for local bands to make a name for themselves unless they tour outside of the county. However, Nobody’s Star is fast becoming one of the most well-known bands in Humboldt, earning the unofficial title of 2nd most requested local act on the only local modern rock station KSLG (www.kslg.com).

With the growth of Nobody’s Star’s local fan-base, the need to expand became apparent. The California Tour (aug 13-21) will be the band’s first tour, and will kick-off the upcoming full-length album "A promise".
