Original Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen has assembled a fine crew of Pacific Northwest songsmiths and session players to form this ensemble. Showing there's life after grunge, Novatone's sound is in line with the Interpol version of brooding and thoughtful rock.
Ty Willman, Vocalist – Lead singer of 90’s Seattle heavyweights Green Apple Quickstep signed by The Medicine Label in 1993 and distributed by Warner Bros., GAQS released three recordings before disbanding in 1998. Ty’s voice remains a signature of the current Northwest scene. A recent composition “California” penned with Seattle artist Shawn Smith was featured on HBO’s “The Sopranos”. Ty also finished recording “Bayleaf” featuring Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard released on Epic Records.
Dave Krusen, Drums – The original drummer for Pearl Jam who performed on their multi-platinum debut “Ten”. Dave has since lent his considerable skill to former bands, Colorbox, Hovercraft, and Unified Theory featuring former members of Blind Melon. Dave will always be an innovator of modern rock drumming and among the most solid of live performers.
Rob Lyons, Guitar & Vocals - A highly acclaimed newcomer to the Northwest music scene. Rob’s signature guitar, vocal and compositional skills are already a staple of Seattle’s rock, blues and hip-hop underground most notably with Hillpeople, led by former Prose and Concepts frontman MC Dope aka Damon Grady.
Cody Davis, Bass – A Bassist with an unforgettable sound. Cody has performed and recorded everything from jungle to rock, from Philly to LA bringing his rock solid foundation with him to every studio and stage he graces.
Rob Knop, Keyboards – Nationally recognized for his songwriting talents (twice awarded in the top 10% of Billboard Magazine Songwriting Contest), Rob’s contribution to the Seattle music scene encompasses his wide range of ability. From session work with groundbreaking Seattle artists in rock and jazz idioms, to co-writing the libretto and co-composing the ambitious rock opera “Diana Moves”, Rob is a natural fit for Novatone’s unique take on Rock and Roll.
