Experimental rock is known for its ambition, but this Erie, PA group sets its sights higher than most: their music was going to cure leprosy. Since then, the band's medical success has been moderate, but its incidental musical achievement has been outstanding, splicing noise rock's finest, Slintian conventions into roiling minioperas.
November 53rd started as a concept of manipulating emotional responses via magnetic imaging for Leprocy patients. Even though the powers of science can do just about anything, this process could not be acheived through any technology currently avaliable. Something would be required to be invented to conduct out series of beta tests. So, in standard form, we entered the studio to drink whiskey and play our musical instruments. After we had drank a 1/2 bottle of ancient whiskey, we hit record. Upon listening to the recording back, our Leprocy prone friend who had lost an apendage the day previous, felt remarkably happy. Dr Ravioli looked at Dr Christler and screamed "WE ARE GOING TO BE MILLIONAIRES". That is all.... Hope all you lepers out there find some happiness here!!!! And for everyone else.... here is some noise...
And before any people get too out of hand with their reviews... the "songs" up here are ideas for future work.. Like it or don't. We arent looking for your acceptance. In fact, if you don't like it, go eat a dick. #$%@ them! Let them riot. We are November -#$%@ing- 53rd. We arent making music for you. Go cuddle up next to your baloney sandwich and watch Jeopardy! To those people who like our music, right on. We will have better stuff out soon too....
