Biography

OMINUS was formed in the summer of 1988 by two cousins who's love for heavy metal was greater then anything else. It all started when Kevin De Lanoy would visit Timothy Boutot in northern Maine. Like Tim, Kevin, a native new yorker, was already into Kiss, Judas Priest and other metal bands.  in 1984 they started doing covers and actually wrote a song. This would be a bond that would never end, and in july of 88 tim would venture to New York to start the dream that they both had envisoned.kevin would be the front guitarist, and tim would start on the drums , but would eventually end up as lead vocalist. Going thought all the ads for mucisians in New York were long and strenouous. It was very difficult to find other members with the same vision. One person came through though. rob adams, a man whos home land was the great state of wisconsin. he proved very worthy and drove ominus further with his loyalty. No others would have such dedication, but they would never let that stop them. Before Rob, Tim and Kevin would write eleven songs. And after that they would write another forty eight songs. They were three of the greatest fans of metal. OMINUS would play in the westchester county of new york for several years. On the night of May 8 1993 that would be the last show for OMINUS for quite some time. Each member would go their own way. Rob moved back to Wisconsin, Kevin left music and would experiment with others here and there. And Tim went on to play with other bands. Never knowing it , Kevin and Tim would write again. It was always in the cards, they just never knew when. But in the spring of 1998 they would reunite. Fourteen years later, more mature then so long ago, they would write some of the best material since 1993. Lead was a much needed factor in their life. It made them feel alive and remember what their dream was since they started back in 1988. Although the album never got a lot of recognition that has not stoped them yet. The band felt the need to give you this, which may be their best offer yet, Vicious Cykills. We hope you enjoy this latest offer, we have from start to finish. It was started on July sixtenth and by August twenty ninth the music was writen and all the singing was completed. At this moment Kevin is doing last minute touch ups. We are hoping for an October release. We truly hope you love our offering.
