U.K. duo Omoyele proves that simplicity has the power to make a real emotional impact. Blending the soulful vocals of Omoyele Thomas with the finely finger-picked guitar of Stu Mills creates a lulling effect, one in which each word and note sinks right in.
Biography
Are we folk or soul or pop. Not sure where we should put ourselves in the genre part.
All we know is that we love writing stuff. We have completed different influences as a writing partnership which makes our music really come together well. We are described by one reviewer as John Renbourne (Pentangle) meets Gabriel. I think you get the idea. The most important thing is we love doing it and want our stuff to be heard by as many people as possible.
Omoyele is 24 and origininally from Nigeria before moving to London at the age of 13.
Stuart is 29 and from the midlands in England
We both met at uni in Wolverhampton in England and then when we realised what we could both do musically we just went for it.
