Opel is an indie pop band from Buenos Aires. Taking most of their inspiration from the legends of '90's American indie rock, Opel has a bright, harmonius sound that's flowery and easygoing.
Opel are Hernán Cabeza (vocals, guitar), Rodolfo Rosende (drums, vocals), Maximiliano Müller (guitar) and Lionel Simijoski (bass).
We start in 1994 playing in the South of Buenos Aires, Temperley. We played with bands like "Viernes", "Turf", "Perdedores Pop", etc. From 92 to 2000 we record a lot of demos in 4 track portastudio, compilated in one indie home cd called "demografía 1994-2000" that you could download from our site http://www.opelpop.com.ar . Our music reminds to the pavement and guided by voices sound, but we also listen to teenage funclub, early pink floyd, menos que cero, los planetas, east river pipe, lambchop, gorkys zygotic mynci, neutral milk hotel, etc... so our music didn?t sound exactly like mentioned bands, we didn?t know how...must be a resume.
We hope you enjoy. Best regards from Buenos Aires!!!
