Biography

Opende has always loved music, poetry and fine art, and as teenager studied music (very) briefly at the local music conservatoire in the mid 90s, began to write songs for his poems, did time with wannabe "almost bands"; names like Anziba, Curio, Krisis Jomaya... circuited karaoke joints, never took up an instrument, gave up trying to be a musician, dabbled a bit in concert & event management, resurfaced as a Dj, did the club scene somewhat half-heartedly...

Wasn't until I was intro'd to music creation and production software circa Dec 2004 that the magic finally began, and songs that wouldn't stop playing in my head for many years finally had a chance to be heard by others! It freed all creativity, enabling me to do stuff that wasn't possible back in the days of 4-track and DAT... I felt for the first time, that I could now do justice to the music...

It's always been about the music, not about me, that's why Opende is a virtual artist - I just want to get out of the way and let the music play, let the music have it's say & let it make your day... that ok? All I wanted to do was to express the songs in exactly the same way I was hearing them, so you all could share the same sweetness of a pleasant noise.
