Editor's review

John Paul Scesniak shows a slight vocal quaver copped from Pac Northwest hero Isaac Brock, but his wet and abstract folk is a more natural mixtape partner for early Devendra Banhart. Ideally, of course, he'll be the influencer, not the influencee, and with this sturdy tone, we'd call that likely.

Biography

Origami Ghosts is the band of native Seattle Singer-songwriter/guitarist John Paul Scesniak. JpS began learning and studying the guitar in the winter of 1995. Encouraged by his guitar instructor, it was at this time that he also began singing, and started writing songs soon after -- compelled to write short, simple, and melodic folk/pop songs. Over the course of a decade he has written hundreds of songs, the origami ghosts release "solving my own puzzles" being the first.
