Often, you can tell drum 'n' bass producers by their aliases. Dieselboy. Zinc. AK1200. They're all aggressive monikers, and to that end, Oxide and Neutrino live up to the name. They make metallic DNB with a grimy edge and a hint of two-step/garage, adding a U.K. MC or two to spice things up.
London-based duo Oxide and Neutrino release their new digital only single "What R U" on Kemistree and Fizzicks on May 15th 2007.
"What R U" is the first single from their new digital only album 2nd Chance and is a dance / garage tune with swinging drums, a strong synth, and a dark bassline.
Oxide and Neutrino are DJ and MC duo Alex Rivers and Mark Osei-tutu, formerly of So Solid Crew, who gained widespread recognition with their number one single "Bound 4 Da Reload" which famously sampled the TV theme to 'Casualty.' What followed was a number of top 10 singles, and two albums on Eastwest records. Now, Oxide and Neutrino are back with their own label Kemistree and Fizzicks; 2nd Chance, streeting on June 12th, will be their first independent release.
