Neither the annoying girl from the Peanuts cartoon nor the mint-filled chocolate candy can come close to Peppermint Bone in terms of freshness. The Detroit techno producers spice up their thumping electronic disco beats with funky guitars, thick bass lines, and sinister synth strokes. Their crisp and clean sound will cleanse your soul while you cut a rug.
Peppermint Bone got its name as an homage to one of Deadweasel's favorite bands, the Candy Butchers. Sure, it seems like a blatant ripoff, but it only seems that way. Our goal is nothing more complex than to share our artistic take on life, through music, with the rest of the world at large. Our music is created through any means possible, including traditional instruments when the mood strikes us, right up through many different electronic means as well. This means that whether it's a full music workstation, like a Korg Trinity, or a simple regular old vanilla PC, if it can make music, we're using it.
