Editor's review

Belgian producer Phase2 follows the predictable trance formula by slowly building toward cliff-hanging bridges that suddenly burst into energetic grooves. His music, though, is set apart by warm tonality and interesting melodic arrangements. The overall quality of his pumping beats is nicely complemented with oozing bass lines, striking guitars, and funky Rhodes strokes.

Biography

He was listening to music since the day his ears started working and became a very big fan of Jean Michel Jarre. Living in the city that Front 242 and Lords of Acid call home he was rapidly intrigued by electro and started fiddeling around with the good old Atari ST.Soon he noticed that music could be generated without having a classic musical education. His first electro tracks were spinning at a local bar and Wim became instantly addicted to music production. Cubase is just about active every day.n 1995 he found a new passion.?Trance?. He stopped playing and producing electro alltogether and cranked out some floorfiller trance tracks. In 1999 Wim started collaborating with co-worker Robbie Deighton.Robbie had always been intrigued by elements of different electronic styles, and that probably moulded the now so recognisable Phase2 sound. After a trip to Ibiza they ended up in the famous Bora Bora bar and were confronted with funky house music for the first time. They where hooked instantly. Again the productions changedand leads to a smooth and uplifting crossover between House en Trance. The last few years Phase2 became a well known name in the underground scene. Also the remix requests were starting to have an influence on the genres that were created. So in 2004Lounge music was added to the Phase2 portfolio. They are now being dubbed as the ?Chameleons? of dancemusic.Phase2 is and stays energetic entertainment. Look out for more unexpected Belgian Beats.????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
