Biography
PLAYTONE are a unique blend of acoustic and electric rock combining soft melodies and powerful harmonies to create a fresh new sound.
Lead singer Neb, guitarist Eddie and bass player Watson grew up together and had all played in various bands before moving to Edinburgh in 2001. Extensive auditions were to secure the full PLAYTONE line-up in 2003 with the addition of drummer James Grant.
After the release of the 2002 "Something Better" EP and its subsequent sell-out the band knew they were onto something special. Performing all over Scotland PLAYTONE have wowed audiences and media alike. The 2003 album "Right About The Wrong Things" has seen PLAYTONE undertake their first full UK tour which has seen them playing in venues such as: The Half Moon in Putney London, The Glasgow Barfly, The Cavern Club Liverpool, The Edinburgh Venue, Cafe Drummond in Aberdeen, Lanark Memorial Hall, The Glasgow QMU, and everywhere in between.
