Moscow sure sounds a lot like Brooklyn in Pompeya's beat-driven indie rock. Stiff-backed rhythms culled from the dance-pop pool, expansive New Wave vocals, and gleaming guitars point to a hipster truism: '80s music is great now that we can pick and choose.
Biography
POMPEYA is a young rock band from Moscow, Russia. The debute single "Check" was recorded at the beginning of 2007 and became very popular in the russian part of Internet. During the first part of the 2007 the band worked hard on their music and presented 2 new singles: "Traveller" and "Sweetheart Baby". In the past couple of months, the band has played with Stereophonics at their Moscow's show and got lots of positive feedback from critics. At the moment POMPEYA are working towards recording their debute CD.
