Biography
Porkys were built around Dayo, probably the best rock and roll singer & lead guitarist of all time.
Ahem. Porkys at the time these songs were recorded was Dayo Kay (singer), Phil Kay (guitar), Pete Kay (bass), Oog (keyboards) & Howard (drummer). These are quite poor quality third hand cassette conversions from the time we hired a recording studio (~15 years ago-ish). Pretty poor originals I think we got ripped off, but there you go.
Porkys played many a pub in Cardiff, and were popular with landlords due to the hard drinking (hence spending) following they enjoyed. We played a lot of Stones, Beatles, Stranglers and the like.
Porkys drummer changed a couple of times to Wiffo, then Dave Sugarman. We're due to play at a wedding today with a reunion original line-up, except for Alan Thomas playing bass. Wish us luck!
