Eighties power pop anybody? That you can make out the influences (the Clash and the Beatles for starters) in the music of the P-Tones doesn't detract from the fact that their melodies are ultra-tight and their music is as catchy as the flu in February.
There was a day of an unknown time in the city of Buenos Aires when Mono (vocals-guitar) and Adri (drums-vocals) decided to get along with Frank Petalo (bass) to start a new musical adventure called P-Tones. These whole new beginning took them to another musical environment, a different place where they started from scratch. The city was Los Angeles and after several months playing clubs and recording a bunch of songs, the band came out with their first EP containing 5 tracks that can be described as a trip from Punk to Disco, from Alternative to New Wave; always with an edgy vintage sound related to the late 70's / early 80’s.
The irreverence of the third world, the warmth of a beautiful woman, the anger of injustice and the happiness of being alive; all these feelings combined define the sound of P-Tones.
