Biography

Possible proof of Spontaneous Generation, The RailRiders Band was born from the smoke filled tradition of Chicago Blues clubs. A band of seasoned club musicians that play together as a band as well as most musicians play a single instrument.

Chip Curtis; Slide, Lead Guitar and Vocals. Played Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country, Classical, and yes, even toured with a Gospel band. Chip performs with the fire ignited by years of smoldering clubs.

Denny Tompkins; Drums. In a band that relies so heavily on a syncopated driving beat, "Drums" almost seems insensitive. Denny is a constant figure in the Chicago club scene, known as "Have drums, will travel", the band's Paladin has been a member since before there was a band.

Buddy Rezendes; Rhythm Bass, Lead Bass, and Double Bass, Gotta be the most gigged musician in the Fox Valley. Buddy can lay down in the pocket for a wall of sound, bounce around the melody like the mighty Duck Dunn, or play lead from two octaves below. There's no fear about a three piece when the Portugueser's on stage. From Chicago's South Side, he brings a seasoned urban sound to the band.

Julie Leuck; The only member to really be from the South, Julie's vocals rise to the top of a jam in a range that only the slide can hit. Solid, powerful, and crystal clear she holds her place on stage with a voice that becomes an instrument of its own. I've heard rumors of a trance dance too- that'll be something to look for during the next guitar solo.

Roger Rowe; Lead Guitar, original member not in the current line-up but still with us from time to time. Check out his tune, "Tell Your Daddy"!

The final sound thunders on the trademark song "Fire on the Tracks", shuffles with seasoned step on Roger's "Tell Your Daddy", and jams on "New Rider".
