Biography

Hi, I'm Rebecca, and I'm a software junkie.

Things have come a long way since I was playing with hometown bands in the 70's! Of course I still use a Vox amp, but mastering with my ever growing collection of VST plug-ins is a blast!

So I thought to myself, can I be a Rock & Roll Goddess at the fine age of 45, and then I thought it really doesn't matter- if I'm having fun and you're enjoy my little songs, that's totally cool. It's really about the music anyway, even after the glitter fades.

So I think of my music as rock & roll, but it's really different all the time. Sometimes I write classic style rock or blues, sometimes new age, sometimes odd combinations somewhere in between. I'm interested in jazz, just not very good at it. And I have been seen listening to Mozart.

I have a great studio, I live on several acres surrounded by trees in North Florida, so I can set an amp on the back porch and "pretty much blow Central Park & 5th Avenue away" (thanks Paul Simon).

Well, thanx for listening, and if you're interested in trading some drum samples I have some free downloads on my website WillowyBlonde.com. And if you liked my music, write me, I'd like to hear from you.

Liner notes to Bitter Chocolat-

Bitter Chocolat was recorded with Ibanez acoustic and electric guitars played through a Vox amp. Ibenez bass, Fostex mic. The drums were programmed to the Hotstepper software machine using my own samples. Reverb & FX were done with the ART Studio 2000 and the Room Machine VST. Recorded on a Fostex VF16, fed through SoundBlaster's Live Drive Platinum optical link to Steinberg's Cubasis program for final mastering. I'd like to thank Jeff Bain at Seminole Music for his excellent advice on equipment and recording.
