With a resume that includes stints with Roy Head and Mickey Gilley, among others--not to mention the Houston Oilers--Ronnie Parker sure has a colorful background. All that experience plays into his music, too, which hinges on his rich, warm voice and swings like the best classic country.
Ronnie Parker was born in Leesville, Louisiana. His musical career started in Houston, Texas playing bass and singing with Roy Head, B.J. Thomas, Johnny Lee, Edgar Winter, Johnny Winter, and Mickey Gilley. From 1978 to 1981 Ronnie charted three records as vocal artist on Billboard, Cashbox, and Gavin Report, with Steve Wariner, Ricky Skaggs, Johnny Rodriguez, Con Hunley, Johnny Bush & Janie Fricke. Ronnie has just released another CD called Ronnie Parker is Southern Comfort, featuring three songs he wrote.
Ronnie also played professional football for the Houston Oilers. "I am a songwriter, entertainer, studied at Houston Conservatory of Music. Have entertained rock & roll, blues, gospel, folk, country here in the good ole USA and Europe".
