Roshan Jamal Bhartiya

Roshan Jamal Bhartiya is one of India's premier sitarists. He was raised in a famous musical family, which for a number of generations has produced leading performers of classical Indian music. His Guru and father, Jamaludin Bhartiya, began teaching Roshan as a young boy, and as a teenager Roshan began performing in concert settings. Roshan has since toured the globe many times, and for the last 40 years has performed and recorded with many of India's most renowned artists. He is known for his deeply emotional and joyous presence. The blending of playfulness with his powerful knowledge of classical Indian music makes his concerts a memorable experience for educated listeners and newcomers alike.
