Salviano can easily blend traditional Brazilian instruments with rhythms such as the berimbau with maracatu, thus creating a new open-minded Brazilian sound. Salviano is constantly composing and although his proffered personal style is MPB, he also writes pagode, forro, Axe, bossa nova, samba and pop. Most songs are sung in Portuguese, however he often experiments combining English, French and Portuguese. Salviano hopes to write more songs in these languages as his skills improve. Live Performances Salviano always delivers on his reputation as a riveting and strong performer. What he says he loves most about music, is sharing the magic with others. This is no more evident than in the way he interacts with his crowd, always offering positive messages, and somehow making a room feel connected to each other through the music. Whether he is with a full band ona grand stage, or just alone with his guitar, all eyes are drawn to him, and it is clear his strength lies in his live performances. Salviano makes each person feel as though they are participating in creating the music with him. It is no time before a room is singing and dancing, even to songs they’ve never heard!!! Building community through music Salviano regularly offers his services with community projects (HSBC Bank Initiatives), as well as playing positive music for youths in poverty (escola do circo picolino). Through these programs as well as on his own, Salviano teaches youths to play music as a way to enrich their lives, and encourages them to turn away from drug use and crime.
