Mixing Brazilian, Cuban, and African rhythms, the Sambaholics build percussion-heavy grooves to make you move your body. The heavily syncopated rhythms grow in intensity, punctuated occasionally by obligatory shouts and whistle-blowing.
Biography
Sambaholic Group...:
All-percussion group with strong afro-brazilian influence, located in Berlin, Germany. 11 members.
Sambaholic Music...:Complex arrangements, Surdo melodies, filigrane breaks - voices interlink, complement each other to something new... Strong cocktail of all styles... Of couse we play Samba Batucada and Samba Reggae, too. (particularly on the road).
Sambaholic History...:The Sambaholics were founded after the break-up of Berlin's legendary "Ramba Samba" by some of the former r.s.-members. Today the majority of the players has joined the group recently.
