Biography

Terry and Gerry Hart were born in a small Texas town called Italy, because of its climate. As teenagers they played in several serious garage bands experimenting with genres from punk to soul. In the 90's, arriving at the Seattle scene, on an incidental trip to the Tacoma Art Museum the twins were strongly influenced by the exhibit "The Sound Sculptures of Trippin", which diverted their musical intentions down an entirely new path. Since that time Terry, the composer of Scary Teri and the Homey Bones instrumentals has dabbled in the art of sculpting sounds on his moog synthesizers, computer software and guitars, influenced by such artists as Steven Halpern, Vangelis and Andreas Vollenweider. Other influences of the band were the '80's San Francisco radio show, "Hearts of Space", The Art of Noise and underground independent Texas musician D.J. Voyager.

Music of Scary Teri and the Homey Bones has been called mind meld ambiesence, modified jazz with a divergent twist. The hard and heavy beats of Scay Teri tunes create an innovative personal experience to each listener (with the intent of never sounding the same to individual listeners). Aside from all the hype, the music of Scary Teri and the Homey Bones is continually a delight and always a surprise.
