Editor's review

Between his video game soundtracks and his orchestral suite in homage to "The Hobbit," this Australian composer must be a favorite of nerds worldwide. But you don't need to love D 'n' D to enjoy his pieces--Buckley's sweeping contempo-classical works are dramatized and affecting.

Biography

I am 21 years old, living in Brisbane, Australia. I have been composing for close to 5 years and in that time I have written a number of works ranging from small chamber group music to full orchestra.

I have composed music for a number of projects, many being computer game projects, and films, of which a number have won awards at film festivals around Australia.

My current projects include a number of independant computer game titles as well as a major release from a major publisher (due to contractual obligations, I cannot say who...), as well as a Star Wars Fan Film, and a number of short films.

I am also working on an orchestral suite inspired by JRR Tolkien's book 'The Hobbit'. The suite, written for orchestra, is my biggest undertaking to date. My hopes for the suite would see it become a ballet production in the next few years, as the suite slowly becomes a complete work.

Hopefully my future sees me making a succesful career from what I love doing, and that is composing. I dont think I could wish for anything more.

Please enjoy my work.
