SCOTT SPARK began playing piano at age 3. As with many other kids, for a long while, piano lessons were just another perfunctory task for the week. But by age 15, Scott left sheet music and exams behind, and followed intuition: songwriting was the way to go. For a long time, though, he kept it to himself. Then, after a fortuitous introduction and conversation at Woodford Folk Festival one year, Scott took the advice of legendary Australian performer Jimmy Little: allow yourself to play and grow; don't make your private work public until you truly feel the time is right. Now, as friends pack-up and leave, get married and assume full-time work, Scott's taken stock and decided he's done with procrastination... the songs are impatient and ready for sharing.
