This is dark and moody music drawing on influences from metal to grunge. But while they can pound you with sledgehammer riffs, the members of Seeing Eye God also know how to write a melody, and they've mastered their instruments with an excellent sense of dynamics.
Seeing Eye God is an all original five piece hard rock/metal outfit from Grand Rapids,
Michigan. Not content to stick to one genre, they appeal to music lovers of all ages and
tastes. With the combination of different backgrounds and influences the band has a
unique style and sound of their own that has something for everyone to enjoy. Parts of
the music are heavy, melodic, dark, upbeat, and emotional with plenty of dynamic builds.
With the exception of the distinct vocals, every song you hear is to some degree like
listening to a different band, which keeps the music from being boring and repetitive to
the listener. They have a sound with elements of hard rock from the past, but which are
done in a way that makes the music sound modern.
Seeing Eye God is comprised of musicians that have been playing together in the
Michigan music scene for 10 years under different names. While in these other bands
they have headlined local shows for as long as eight years, released two full length cd’s,
and opened for such acts as Monster Magnet, Clutch, Anthrax, Prong, and Pro-Pain, just
to name a few. Recently the band retooled with a new vocalist and guitarist to create
Seeing Eye God. With the new musicians and sound in place they have gotten press
releases and have already begun to have huge draws locally, selling hundreds of the four
song demo that was released in March of 2004.
Seeing Eye God is presently booking shows locally and regionally to raise the funds to
produce their first full length CD as Seeing Eye God. They plan on making music a
career and have the perseverance, talent and ambition to make it happen. With time and
experience comes professionalism and growth.
