Biography

Since the last release, Sixpence None The Richer garnered 2 Grammy nominations, won top honors for their 1999 #1 single 'Kiss Me' from ASCAP, Billboard and Movieline Awards among numerous other accolades. 'Kiss Me' was also used in the worldwide TV broadcast of Prince Edwards 1999 wedding ceremonies. Since the last release lead vocalist Leigh Nash contributed the lead track to the Gwyneth Paltrow/Ben Affleck movie Bounce in 2000, sang guest vocals on Los Straitjackets 2001 Sing Along with Los Straitjackets and scored her first Billboard Dance Hit (#3) with 'Innocente (Falling In Love)' which she co- wrote and performed guest vocal on for Delerium's "Poem" release in 2001. Main songwriter Matt Slocum founded the East Nashville Center For The Creative Arts, a classically-based community school of the musical, dance and dramatic arts in East Nashville. Guitarist Sean Kelly worked on Josh Rouse's Bedroom Classics EP, toured with the indie group SWAG and even did some substitute school teaching. Longtime drummer Dale Baker recently departed the band but is featured on most of Divine Discontent. Rob Mitchell is now on drums for the band.
