Bizarre beats and a production aesthetic that brings to mind cavemen and, well, caves, Skip Regan has their own ideas about how to get your body moving. But obviously, it's deliberate. These guys could jam with the best, taking cues from classic rock heavyweights Hendrix, Clapton and Richards.
Skip Regan's album, Welcome To My Head, is a potent mix of thick guitar soup, sweet harmonies and spacey lyrics blended together with plenty of mind-altering feedback. The album opens with swirling feedback rising out of the psychedelic void, reminiscent of the opening of Jimi Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland" transporting the listener to an alternate universe far removed from the current corporate-controlled wasteland that constitutes the current music scene. Utilizing tight vocal harmonies and extremely catchy melodies that recall the Sgt. Pepper-era Beatles, these songs will be swirling around in your head for days to come. This is music to be enveloped by. Turn it on, Turn it up and let it take you away.
