Slow Six

Call them post rock, call them chamber music, call them experimental neo-classical. No matter what you choose, understand that broad genre descriptors do little to describe the striking compositions of Brooklyn collective Slow Six.

Since 1998, Christopher Tignor and company have crafted minimal beauties and mesmerizing suites out of amplified strings, electric guitars, keyboards, homegrown software instruments, and video projections mixed live throughout space. In fact, they've done such a marvelous job that powerhouse neo-classical label, New Albion, snapped the collective up and is releasing their forthcoming full length album Nor'easter.
