Biography
In the 1970's, Jamaica's music industry was in it's most creative era led by such innovative producers as Bunny Lee, Coxsone Dodd, and Lee Perry, as well as revolutionary studio engineer and mix-master Osbourne Ruddock (a.k.a. King Tubby). Solomon Jabby's sound draws heavily on the style of these early reggae pioneers by staying true to the roots reggae tradition while still rootically cultivating a sound that is all his own. He wears many hats throughout the creative process including that of producer, engineer, writer, musician, and certified dub technician. His distinctive musical vibe also reflects a genuine spiritual consciousness that reverberates throughout his recordings and attempts to rejuvenate the soul through relevating roots and infectious dub mixdowns.
