Editor's review

Whether the Spark Shark members really do live in a Brooklyn brownstone and are descendents of shipping magnates we may never know, but what is certain is their brand of gutsy guitar-rock will stoke your fires and warm your soul. It's country-rock on one level, but it's also heavily seasoned with British Invasion and pysch influences.

Biography

Spark Shark consists of the legendary New York underground southern Americana duo of Less Misrables and Dusty Curtains.  Heirs/great-grandsons to southern ship barons who relocated to the Brooklyn shipyards at the turn of the century, they are located in a large gas-lit brownstone mansion deep in the heart of Brooklyn. They write and record whatever they like on any given day.

They are rarely seen in public and are quite reclusive.  They do not wish to be disturbed.  They sometimes emerge to hang out at Rockaway beach, Coney Island or Brighton beach to ride the old rides and eat hotdogs and such.

They sometimes perform surprise gigs in public that often get them arrested because they don't have a permit and are too loud.  They love watching Hee Haw videos, applauding loudly when Buck Owens kicks off and reading any book printed before 1900.

They also think highly of you as well.  Peace to all.
